Your First Display
This guide walks you through creating an endpoint and pairing a physical display device to it.
What is an Endpoint?
An Endpoint is Inspire’s unified representation of a screen. It replaces the separate “Display” and “Agile” concepts from the legacy Optymyse platform. An endpoint can serve content to:
- A wall-mounted digital signage display
- A desktop Agile Client window
- A kiosk or touch-screen device
- A video wall panel
Creating an Endpoint
Navigate to Endpoints
From the sidebar, click Endpoints. You will see a list of all endpoints in your tenant.
Create a new endpoint
Click New Endpoint in the top-right corner.
Configure the endpoint
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Name | A descriptive name (e.g. “Lobby Main Screen”) |
| Resolution | The target display resolution (e.g. 1920x1080) |
| Orientation | Landscape or Portrait |
| Group | Optional — assign to a device group for bulk management |
Save
Click Create. The endpoint is now ready to receive a paired device.
Pairing a Device
Pairing connects a physical device to your endpoint. Inspire uses a simple 6-character code system.
Open the pairing screen on your device
On the display device, open a browser and navigate to:
https://inspire.yourcompany.com/pairA 6-character pairing code is displayed on screen (e.g. A3F-7K2).
Enter the code in Inspire
Back in the Inspire web UI, open the endpoint you just created and click Pair Device. Enter the 6-character code.
Confirm pairing
The device screen refreshes and shows a “Connected” confirmation. It is now receiving content from Inspire.
Pairing codes expire after 15 minutes. If the code expires, refresh the pairing screen on the device to generate a new one.
Assigning Content
Once paired, the endpoint needs content to display. You have two options:
Quick: Assign an existing scene
- Open your endpoint
- Click Assign Content
- Browse the scene library and select a scene
- Click Apply
The content appears on the display within seconds.
Full: Create a new scene
See Creating Content for a complete walkthrough.
Verifying Your Display
After assigning content, check:
- Status indicator — The endpoint card shows a green dot when the device is online and rendering
- Preview — Click the endpoint to see a live preview thumbnail
- Device info — The device panel shows hardware details, IP address, and last check-in time
