AI Configuration
Configure AI-powered features including credit allocation, API keys, and model selection. Navigate to Settings > AI.
Requires the Admin role. For detailed documentation on AI features themselves, see AI Features.
AI Credits
Every Inspire license includes a monthly allocation of AI credits. The credits panel shows:
- Credits used this month with a progress bar
- Breakdown by action — how many credits each AI operation has consumed
- Monthly reset — credits reset at the start of each billing period and do not roll over
Credit Costs
Each AI action has a base cost:

Using Claude Opus doubles the listed credit cost for premium analysis quality. Claude Haiku uses the standard cost with faster responses.

Bring Your Own Key (BYOK)
For unlimited AI usage without consuming credits, enter your own Anthropic API key. When BYOK is active, AI calls go directly from your Inspire server to Anthropic — no credits are deducted.
Configuring BYOK
- Navigate to Settings > AI
- Enter your Anthropic API key in the API Key field (format:
sk-ant-...) - Click Save Changes
A green “Active (BYOK)” badge appears when a valid key is configured.
API costs from BYOK usage are billed directly by Anthropic to your account. Your data is sent directly from your server to the provider — it does not pass through Optymyse servers.

Per-Tenant Keys
On Professional and Enterprise plans, each tenant can configure their own API keys. Tenant-specific keys override the install-level key. See AI Credits & BYOK for details.
Model Selection
Inspire uses Anthropic Claude models for text-based AI features. You can choose different models for different workloads:

Select models from the dropdowns and click Save Changes.
